I tossed this pot in the trash.The ability of this pot to brew a good cup of coffee is non existent.And, it is not my coffee brewing skills. Unlike the coffee that has come out of this pot.
The quality of the pot is first rate and that is the only reason I gave a rating of 1 star. Bitter doesn't even begin to describe this muddy brew.
Terrible Coffee.If you want to drink mud then this is the pot for you. And, have always had wonderful tasting coffee that was not bitter.
A total waste of money.
I use peaberry estate beans from Hawaii and burr grind the coffee beans fresh for each pot.
I top off my cup with milk, his with hot water = morning bliss. This size is perfect for us, it makes exactly 2 half-cups of espresso. This is my second Bialetti stovetop percolator. I needed a bigger one because now I'm making coffee for two.
Why there was no disclosing of the product origin, but all you read makes you THINK you are getting a product made in Italy. All I can say is that I did not get what I bought. Yes, it makes good coffee, but now that is not the issue.
But (deceptive advertising). I own other sizes and can tell the difference. When I ordered this Bialetti Espresso Coffee Maker I was sure I was getting one made in Italy.
The difficult lid handle is one of them, plus the craftsmanship and finish are remarcably inferior. I consider myself deceived. the one I got was made in India.
Is there any difference in the product.
But when I get it right the espresso is very good and I am pretty pleased with this product. Like everyone else I dislike the tab on the top to open this thing up, but you don't need to do it much. I was greatly helped in selecting this one from the reviews of others. I hope this helps you. Overall it's a nice machine for what I was trying to accomplish: greater volume and stainless steel. It's puzzling to me that the vessel at the top holds so much more than the bottom, so it's hard to judge when it is done because the top will only be about 1/2 full and it doesn't make as much noise as my last espresso maker so sometimes I wait too long and other times there is still water in the bottom when I'm cleaning it.
If the espresso is good, I will give it five star again even if it made in China.Love the shape and satin stainless steel. Cannot wait until tomorrow morning to make my first espresso. Just got it, I think it will make a good espresso because the Bialetti is a good name in the market. I am a little disappoint because it said made in Italy in Amazon but what I got is made in Indian.
